Rémi Leroy Quatre Cépages Mer Sur Mont is a great blend of the three noble grapes along with a small addition of Pinot Blanc. The Pinot Noir sits forward on the nose, offering white pepper with some lovely toffee notes and blackcurrants. There's a lovely salty texture and this wonderful, full, juicy mid palate, pushing loads of red fruit and zesty citrus notes forward. So well balanced – gorgeous, juicy and long. We visited Remi a few years ago in Meurville and totally fell for his juicy, rich, characterful wines. They exude generosity and it was clear that his skill both in the vineyards and the winery were going to bring something special. Years later and it is clear that he has done exactly that. He works with 8.5 hectares of mainly Pinot Noir and the wines rock.
